Recently, I read a blog about a young man in his early twenties who was dying with cancer. He wanted to share his final views about life to his fans as he was preparing for his funeral.
It was heartbreaking to read. I could not imagine how this young man must have felt knowing that he was writing his last blog ever.
Story like this one makes you cherish life even more. If there is ever a time when we need to reflect on life, it is now. The year 2020 has brought some real insight about life.
“So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalms 90:12
This verse is my daily prayer. As I grow older, I learn to appreciate life more. I learn to mindfully enjoy every breath, every second, every minute, and every hour. I learn to practice forgiveness. I learn to love more. I learn to let God take control of the things that I cannot control. After all, I am not in control of anything.
How foolish are we sometimes to think we got time? How unwise it is to waste time!
My prayer for anyone reading this today is that God would teach you how to number your days. I pray that God would open your heart and fill it with love in abundance so that you will learn to love others just like He loves you. I pray that He gives you the wisdom to manage the time He entrusted you with according to His plans and purpose for your life. In Jesus’ name!
